At Wieland Chase, pickled coil or straight extruded rod is transferred to finishing machines. There, the brass rod is cold drawn to the finish size requested, cut to length, straightened, chamfered and bundled to customer specifications.
When conducted under strict quality guidelines, cold drawing brass rod creates:
- Correct diameter
- Excellent surface condition
- Hardness of material
Wieland Chase integrates Eddy Current testing equipment into its production to verify that brass rod surfaces meet industry standards.
Brass rod is cut precisely to length: 10 – 16 foot.
In 2000, Wieland Chase completed its Project 400 at the mill which added finish lines which provide production flexibility and additional capacity to meet customer needs.
Wieland Chase is a leading brass manufacturer in North America. As of July 2019, Wieland Chase became part of the strong global Wieland Group with a continued commitment to safety, quality and customer service. More about the Wieland Group
