Brass Finishing

At Wieland Chase, pickled coil or straight extruded rod is transferred to finishing machines. There, the brass rod is cold drawn to the finish size requested, cut to length, straightened, chamfered and bundled to customer specifications.

When conducted under strict quality guidelines, cold drawing brass rod creates:

• Correct diameter
• Excellent surface condition
• Hardness of material
• Tight tolerances
• Smoother surface finish

Brass rod is cut precisely to length: 10 – 16 ft.
Note that brass rod is typically supplied with standard pointed and chamfered ends. Additionally, various combinations of rod end finishing can be requested to meet the shape requirements that fit your needs.
